Get on the Costa Rica Real Estate Train

May 10, 2009 - Costa Rica real estate in Heredia just got better with the San Jose-Heredia rail line which is due to open at the end of this month. Costa Rica real estate brokers have high hopes for the train because it would make real estate properties for sale in Heredia more attractive to potential buyers.

The new railways is expected to make about 42 trips from San Jose to Heredia each day which would lighten the traffic during rush hours as well as make the commute easier to people going back and forth from Heredia to San Jose on a regular basis.

The train will make 2 stops between San Jose and Heredia and the fair is expected to be 350 colons according to the Authoridad Reguladora de Servicios Publicos.

Good News for Costa Rica Real Estate Brokers with Garbage Clean Up

April 14, 2009 - Costa Rica is a tropical paradise but the Costa Rica Real Estate Industry has been plagued with unsightly sites of garbage in the streets when showing properties in Costa Rica.

There is nothing worst for a real estate broker when showing a property in Costa Rica to a potential buyer to see garbage littering the streets where the property is located. Just imagine that you are having guests over and your yard is full of garbage, would that make your guests want to come back? I think not.

The health minister, Maria Luisa vilaAgaro, has been pushing a bill to regulate and control garbage in the country. This bill would create a legal framework to protect not only the public health but the environment as well. Part of the bill also include the creation of a plan for the handling and disposal of garbage.

Another Reason to Purchase Real Estate in Costa Rica

April 9, 2009 - The Costa Rican government is continuously trying to improve the country in order to make it more attractive to Costa Ricans and tourists. This in the long run will increase the value of real estate property in Costa Rica.

The latest scheme which started almost a year and a half ago was to expend the pedestrian pathway on Avenida Central. It was a $2.1 million gamble on the part of the Costa Rican government that seems to have paid off.

The walkway is more crowded and businesses along the pathway have seen an increase in business as well as have improved their shop to make it more attractive to passerby.
